Are you thinking of making a meal this Christmas or informal dinner? Do you have a lot of guests? If you are in either of these two situations, these cups of chestnut cream will come in handy.

Chestnuts have always been in our gastronomy. From simple preparations such as roasted chestnuts to rich cakes, breads with their flour or simply served as Garrison. In this recipe they and only they are the protagonists, thus we obtain a cream with a very peculiar, original and totally flavor. suitable for vegetarians.

To serve them I have used 100 cc capacity cups and the chestnut cream I have decorated with tiny dumplings cheese spread easily made with two small teaspoons.

    Any trick to peel chestnuts? Because the work seems quite tedious to me ...

      Hi Juanjo:

      of course there are tricks to peel chestnuts !! You can follow Mertxe's although I have a very similar one.

      Make sure the chestnuts don't have pinholes because that means they have (or had) an intrisu. Bring water to a boil until it comes to a boil. While making a deep cut to the chestnuts and when the water is already boiling, turn off the heat and put the chestnuts for about 3 minutes. You can do perfectly in the microwave.

      Try, you will see that when you peel them, the peel and the inner skin will go away in a jiffy !!
