With the advent of Christmas We don't just think of great dishes for the most important days. At home we also look for simple recipes to make baubles homemade and take them with coffee or as a snack.

Kids will love preparing these desert roses with their breakfast cereals. In addition, they are ideal for give a present. You just have to put them in transparent bags and decorate them with a Christmas drawing made by themselves.

Each rose weighs between 13 and 17 grams, you already know that although you are artisan preparations they are made with care, two are not exactly alike. So don't worry if some have more volume than others.

Crisp desert roses made with chocolate and corn flakes. They are so easy that even children can help prepare them. They are ideal to give away.

Ingredients

  • 200 g of chocolate fondant
  • 25 butter g
  • 20 g icing or powdered sugar
  • 100 g of toasted corn flakes

Preparation

  1. Put the flakes in a large bowl. Reserve.

  2. Grate the chocolate by programming 10 seconds, progressive speed 5-7-9. With the spatula lower all the chocolate towards the blades. Add the butter, program 4 minutes, 37º, speed 3.

  3. After time, remove the lid, add the sugar and stir with the spatula. Pour the chocolate over the flakes and mix well until they are completely chocolate.

  4. With two spoons, remove portions of similar size. Place them separately on a tray lined with parchment or baking paper. Repeat until finished with the mixture.

  5. Put in the fridge and let it rest for at least 1 hour so that the chocolate hardens.

  6. When serving, place the desert roses in a bowl dusted with cocoa powder. It can also be presented in a bowl or a metal box.
