Pineapple marmalade

Pineapple jam is born from the union of two of my passions: my favorite fruit and make homemade jams.

My oldest daughter and I love it have breakfast toasted bread with butter and homemade jam. It is a small pleasure that we share and that makes our breakfasts more familiar.

When I didn't have a Thermomix®, I always bought jam from peach o raspberry, but since I make them, we have flavored jams different and original. Although this pineapple is one of our favorites.

Also the jams are authentic use recipes since they not only serve to enjoy a good harvest, but also to give out the fruit you have at home.

I really like pineapple, is lemon essential? Because I have tried making tomato and strawberry and I don't like the bitterness it gives, I really want to make sweet orange marmalade too, are they the same amounts of sugar and fruit? and this one would not need lemon, right.Thank you.

    1.    Elena said

Hi Maria, you don't need to add lemon. It is thrown so that the fruit is better preserved, but if you are going to consume it immediately it is not necessary. We have published the orange marmalade and the same thing happens, in the straight we put a lemon, but if you add a teaspoon, it will not give you bitterness. Try and tell me. I put the link of the orange marmalade: http://www.thermorecetas.com/2010/05/30/Receta-Thermomix-Mermelada-de-Naranja/
      A greeting.

Thank you very much Elena for clarifying me about the lemon. Early this morning I made the kiwi with just a splash of lemon and it turned out great. The orange one that I made, too, I have gone a little with the orange peel and it hasn't It came out as good as kiwi, but you can eat it. I know that the next time it will come out much better because I already know the failure. The truth is that it gives a lot of satisfaction to give my son natural things that you know perfectly well that they carry. Thanks again, Elena.

By the way, now I will have to make the apple and walnut bread to eat the jams, which looks great and seems so easy. A greeting.

Go ahead and do it, Maria. It is terrific.

I'm very happy, Maria! My oldest daughter loves jams (she is 8 years old), but only the ones I make, not the bought ones. I always have homemade jam made. All the best.

Hello Elena! I have many fruit trees so I like to make jam to keep all year round, I never made them in Th, they didn't turn out well until I tried your recipe for orange jam, it came out perfect, since that I am lazy to make it in a conventional way for what I would like you to put more jam recipes. Do you have the zucchini ?. Many kisses and thanks for your recipes.

    1.    Elena said

Hello Maca, I haven't made the zucchini one yet, but I'm sure I'll make it shortly and we'll publish it. We already have a few published jam recipes, but we continue to do more because they are delicious in the Thermomix. All the best.

And if you don't add sugar, how much granular sweetener you have to add. Thank you.

    1.    Elena said

Hello Milagros, the equivalence is 10 gr. of sweetener per 100 gr. of sugar. But the truth is that I have not tried it and I do not know if it will look good. All the best.

What a good Christmas I have had, thanks to you I have been like a king and my wife like a queen. I have to say that at the beginning of the dinners I always deceived the diners by telling them that the recipes were our inventions, but in the end we had to tell the truth since it was impossible for the recipes to come out so well in such a short time, because I bought it alone a few months ago. As I said before, I would like you to give cleaning tricks, because mine has some stains and I don't know how to remove them. Greetings and keep it up.

    1.    Miracles Heartthrob said

HELLO I am a great admirer of your recipes, which by the way I like a lot. But I would like that when you post the dessert recipes, just as you put the amount of sugar you need, I would also like you to put the amount of granulated sweetener that is cenesita, because that way sick people can also eat it.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH and continue with your recipes, which are all delicious.

      1.    Elena said

Hello Milagros, the truth is that we do not put it because for that we would have to make them with the sweetener and thus be sure of the amount and how they taste. I have not tried to make them with sweetener and that is why I do not dare to put the equivalence. In general for every 100 gr. of sugar you have to add 10 gr. of sweetener, but that's a matter of taste. All the best.

    2.    Elena said

Hello Pedro, I am very happy that you like our recipes. To clean it, after making a recipe, I pour water up to a little more over the blades, a splash of Fairy and set 4 min., Item. 100 and vel. 3. When it finishes I put 15 seconds at progressive speed 5-7-10. This way it is very easy to clean. If any recipe leaves residues, I use the aluminum scourer. All the best.

  20.   Merce Borrell said

    Good afternoon everyone!
I had never heard of preserving jams by covering the jar and putting it
upside down for 24 hours, I always kept them by boiling the pot in a water bath.
How long does the jam keep turning the jar upside down?
Thank you very much for your advice.

    1.    Elena said

Hi Mercé, it is kept for a couple of months that I know of. When the peaches arrive I do a lot, but it is the longest I have taken to open a jar. All the best.

  21.   Immaculate Fernandez said

Very good I had made it but with other amounts and time, I will try with our recipe. Sometimes I make it d melon when it is like cucumber as they say, and so I take advantage of it, when serving I put it with almonds and a little d cream.
    All the best

    1.    Elena said

What a good Immacualda! I have never tasted melon jam. Anyway I encourage myself and I do it. All the best.

  22.   Immaculate Fernandez said

Yes, my mother is an excellent cook of sweets (if you want I will go over some recipes because the truth is she has a good hand). (It is made the same as the apple compote with a good stick of cinnamon and a good lemon zest). Whenever a melon comes out bad, she doesn't throw it away, she says it makes her feel sorry for it and how the compote is so good! It is that it is very sweet, it also makes good sweet it is something like cider jam but, by hand (I am trying to pass the recipe to TM) when I get it I pass it to you but I am not sure I put a butterfly or V spoon why it Cider is very stringy and can be tangled, well, I'll tell you. All the best

    1.    Elena said

How good! I'm going to dare to make the melon jam. Thank you very much, Immaculate !. All the best.

Hello, I have made the jam and it has been very liquid, I have put the time of more than you say but it has remained the same.
I have read in forums that neutral gelatin is added to the recipe, but I have not trusted much ...
I would like to try the recipe again, what can I do to make it thicker?
    Thanks in advance.
