When I don't have time to cook, I often resort to preparing a plate of pasta. It is so helpful that we always manage to get out of the way with a rich and tasty meal.       I like pasta al dente, that is to say, rather smooth. So, if in the preparation I am going to put it together with the rest of the ingredients, what I do is cook it one minute less than indicated on the package. So when I incorporate it into the preparation I know that it is not going to happen.

      It must also be said that not all brands are the same. It's a matter of trying and choosing your favorite.
