Ginger Lime Lemonade

lemonade-with-lime-and-ginger-thermorecetas

One of the things I like the most about Thermomix is that it prepares lemonades really good. They are simple to make and in a few seconds we are enjoying a cool and refreshing drink.

Following these basic guidelines we are going to prepare a lemonade with lime and ginger whose aroma it is more complex but just as rich and pleasant.

To enhance the flavor of the ginger, we will make a syrup that we will then mix with the fruit juice. When combined they form a delicious lemonade with lime and ginger that is really addictive, which is also great to combat the high temperatures summer.

A question. In all juices you use a large amount of sugar. Would it be possible to eliminate it or replace it with brown sugar?

      Hi Bea,

In some preparations, enough sugar is usually added so that this taste is noticeable in the cold. Otherwise, it is not perceived and the recipe is unbalanced.

Of course you can use another sugar. If you are going to use brown sugar, I recommend the whole wheat (rapadura, panela) or even if you want to give it a darker touch, use dark muscovado sugar that has a lot of flavor.

Are quartered lemons and limes processed with the skin? Thank you

      Hello Natalia:

Yes, with skin but well washed. If they are from organic farming, better than better.

      Regards!

What I do is put the water of the time and add less sugar, leave it on the kitchen counter and stir until everything dissolves, I taste the flavor until it is to my liking, once I have achieved it, I I put it to cool in the fridge, I always use much less sugar than what they ask for in the recipes, also if it is put glass, it sweetens instantly and you also reduce the amount a lot, since if you put the water in cold it costs a lot to dissolve.

Thanks a lot. It has been delicious.
Instead of sugar, I have added 40g of stevia.
