Ingredients

  • 8 pieces of leek of 5-6 cm
  • 4 rectangular slices of York ham
  • 25 g of grated cheese

For the bechamel:

  • 20 butter g
  • 20 g flour
  • 300g milk
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Put 750 g of tap water in the glass. heat it for 5 minutes, 100º, speed 1.

  2. Meanwhile, wash and cut the leeks into pieces of the indicated measurements. Using only the white part. If the leeks are very fat, several layers can be removed and saved for other preparations. Put the pieces in Varoma.

  3. When the water is hot, put the Varoma in position and program 25 minutes, Varoma temperature, speed 2.

  4. After time has elapsed, carefully remove the Varoma and reserve. Discard the water and without washing the glass put the butter, melt it for 2 minutes, Varoma temperature and speed 2. Add the flour and toast it for 4 minutes, 100º and speed 2. Add the milk and nutmeg to taste, season and program 10 minutes, 100º, speed 4.

  5. While the béchamel is being made, cut the slices of York ham lengthwise, forming long strips with which we will roll up the little pieces of leek.

  6. When the machine is finished, put some béchamel on a plate or platter. Place the rolls of leek and ham and sauce with a string of bechamel on top. Sprinkle the grated cheese and gratin.

  7. As the rolls and the béchamel are hot, I have not gratified them in the oven. I have toasted the cheese a little with the kitchen torch.
