Today we are going to prepare a light yogurt and pear cream that you are going to love. This dessert does not have no secret And the best of all is that it is suitable for weight control diets. So we can indulge ourselves without fearing that the scale will give us a scare.

To our mousse collection you have to add this cream, made with a yogurt and pear base that we will mix with the whites mounted to the point of snow that will give it the typical texture with bubbles.

Light yogurt and pear cream needs a repose minimum of 2 hours. If it is in the fridge well covered, it can last up to 2 days, but… will we resist that long without putting the spoon in it?

You can make this dessert using other fruits. Be sure to try it with custard apple, you will be surprised by its flavor.

Ingredients

  • 250 g pear pulp (2 large pears)
  • 350 g of skimmed yogurt
  • 45 g of sugar
  • Egg whites 2
  • 3 gelatin sheets
  • 60 g of water
  • 1 dash of lemon juice
  • Brown sugar for garnish (optional)

Preparation

  1. We soak the gelatin following the manufacturer's instructions. Heat the water and add the drained gelatin. We stir until it is well diluted.

  2. We peel and discard the core of the pears. We sprinkle them with the lemon juice so that they do not oxidize. We put them in the glass and crush 20 seconds, speed 5. We lower the puree towards the blades.

  3. We add the sugar and the yogurt. We mix during 10 seconds, speed 5.

  4. Add the warm water with the gelatin and mix for 10 seconds at speed 3. We remove to a large bowl and reserve.

  5. With the glass very clean, we place the butterfly on the blades and we mount the whites during 2 minutes at speed 3 1/2. We incorporate them into the pear mixture, using manual rods and making enveloping movements.

  6. We divide the cream into 4 glasses or bowls and let it rest in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours.

  7. When serving, sprinkle a little brown sugar on top.

    Hello Mayra,
    It is the first time that I write, because I have not dared out of shyness, but it is that with this recipe a doubt has arisen and I have no choice but to jump in.
    I would like to make this cream for the Saturday that I have a family meal but I would like to have it prepared on Friday afternoon since I have to transport it to another house.
    My question is: if I keep it in a large tupper, since I would have to double the quantities, since we will be 8 people, when it comes to serving in individual glasses, will it be good or will it crack as it has solidified in a different mold ???
    How can I make it look good when serving, since I won't have the tmx on hand?

      Hello Rosaura:

      First of all, thank you for having encouraged to leave us a message. I hope you continue to do so when doubts arise!

      The tupperware is a good idea to transport it but when you serve it in the glasses it will not look good. What I would do is put it directly in transparent plastic cups that are sold in any supermarket or even in small glass jars (the 110 ml ones are fantastic !!). Then you can put the cups in a larger plastic container or a cardboard box so that transport is comfortable for you. If the box is too big, do not hesitate to put empty glasses so that they are more secure during the trip.

      Decorate the glasses just before serving to make them more colorful.
