Mac n 'cheese

The famous mac n 'cheese or American-style mac n' cheese they are a real bomb… but also a real delight… creamy, smooth… delicious !! They are very simple to prepare because they have few ingredients and are quite inexpensive.

The interesting thing about this adaptation to the thermomix is that we will cook the macaroni directly in the sauce, that is, we do not have to cook them in water first and then add them with the sauce. It is the same procedure as express conch with chistorra. In this way, the pasta is full of flavor, becoming a great snack, as well as making the task a little easier. Perhaps it is not the most "purist" way to prepare pasta in the eyes of an Italian, but I assure you that it is worth it!

We have used a paste that is small and hollow, which is called Sharks o elbows. But you can use macaroni traditional or the smallest. There are even people who use fideuá noodles, I particularly do not like this last option because it is far from the original and it is interesting that it has a hole inside the pasta so that between the sauce and the bite it is even more exquisite.

And to make it even easier for you, we leave you the video recipe !!

    Hello!!! A question…. 18 minutes for pasta won't be long ???

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Hello Estefanía, it is not much because keep in mind that when you add the pasta the liquid is cold and it takes a few minutes to boil because it is much denser than water. So you need a few more minutes. 🙂

Good morning, to make double the macaroni, I double the quantities but the cooking time is the same. Truth?

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Hello Carmen, yes, although as there is more liquid it will take a few more minutes to get the temperature to cook the pasta. But be careful with the capacity of the Thermomix ... I think that double the amount is not going to fit you! Try to increase 1/2 better if you have the TM5 or to do it in two times and then bake it all together 😉

Hello, a question, are the amounts correct? Is that if I cook with the stopper, the milk comes out when it boils. I have put the basket and it also comes out.

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Barbara, what model of Thermomix do you use? As you can see, these are made in TM5.

Hi! If the recipe calls for 200g of cheese, at the beginning we chop and reserve 50g, and at the end we add 150g, I have 50g of cheese left over and I still have 100g to grate. Please if you could correct it. Thanks

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Javier, that's 200 g of cheese in total. At first spades and reserves 50g. In the recipe you will first use the 150g and then you will add the 50g that you have reserved. 200g in total. Thanks for writing to us!
