Meatballs with tomato

Juicy and very soft. so are these meatballs that the little ones like so much.

To the meat we are going to add baked potato. They do not have gluten because they do not contain bread crumbs nor wheat flour.

We will take advantage of the cooking of the tomato sauce to cook the meatballs in the varoma. This way we will save time, hassle in the kitchen and the occasional calorie.

The mushrooms are found in small pieces, in the tomato sauce. Undoubtedly, a delicious dish that can be completed with White rice.

Ingredients

For the meatballs:

  • 800 g minced meat (half pork and half beef)
  • 1 egg
  • 170 g of well-cooked potato
  • Dried aromatic herbs
  • ground pepper (or grated nutmeg)
  • Sal Island
  • Cornstarch

For la salsa:

  • 40 g oil
  • 1/2 onion, quartered
  • 170g quartered mushrooms
  • 1200 g tomato passata or crushed tomato
  • Sal Island

Preparation

  1. Put the meat, the egg, the very well cooked potato (soft), the aromatic herbs, the pepper and the salt in the glass. We program 20 seconds, speed 5.

  2. Grease the varoma container and tray with a little oil. 

  3. Put two or three tablespoons of cornstarch in a plate or bowl. With our hands we form the meatballs and pass them through the cornstarch. To prevent the meatball dough from sticking to our hands, we can moisten our hands in water. Another option is to use cornstarch itself (we put a little cornstarch in the portion of meat and form the meatball).

  4. We are placing the meatballs in the container and in the varoma tray.

  5. We wash and dry the glass.

  6. Put the oil and onion in it. We program 5 seconds, speed 5. We schedule below 2 minutes, 120º, left turn, spoon speed.

  7. We add the mushrooms. We program 2 minutes, 120º, left turn, spoon speed.

  8. Add the tomato and salt. We put the lid on the glass. Without putting the cup, we put the varoma in its position (with the meatballs inside), we put the lid and we program 30 minutes, varoma temperature, counterclockwise, spoon speed.

  9. We serve the meatballs with tomato sauce and mushrooms.

Notes

The mixture of the meat with the potato, the aromatic herbs, the egg and the spices can be made in a normal bowl, using a simple wooden spoon. As the meat is already minced, it is not necessary to use the glass.
