I love the meatballs! They are so versatile, that by changing the ingredients a little we can have a completely different dish. If you like meatballs, do not miss other recipes that we have already published, such as the Moorish meatballs or lamb meatballs stuffed with mozzarella.

In this case we are going to prepare some meatballs in the usual way, but we are going to give it a different touch with a very original sauce based on born y capers. It's a recipe easy y economic, as we like.

Delicious pork and beef meatballs served with potatoes and caper sauce.

Ingredients

  • 40 g of bread from the day before, chopped
  • 100 gr of onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • a pinch of pepper
  • 400 gr of mixed minced meat
  • 700 gr of chopped and peeled potatoes
  • 800 gr of water
  • 1 beef bouillon cube

Capers Sauce

  • 200 gr of cream for cooking
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • a pinch of pepper
  • 60 gr of drained capers

Preparation

  1. We put the bread in the glass and grate for 10 seconds, speed 7. We withdraw and reserve.

  2. We introduce the onion and chop 5 seconds, speed 5.

  3. Add the bread, egg, salt, pepper and minced meat and mix 50 seconds, left turn, speed 4. We moisten our hands and form small meatballs. We place the meatballs inside the varoma container and on its tray.

  4. We pour the water into the glass, add the bouillon cube, put the basket and the potatoes inside. We place the varoma container on top and program 30 minutes, varoma temperature, left turn, speed 1.

  5. Remove the varoma container, remove the basket with the potatoes and reserve the cooking broth.

  6. We pour 500 gr of the cooking liquid into the glass, if necessary we add additional water. Add the cream, lemon juice, salt and pepper. We program 5 minutes, temperature 100º, turn to the left, speed 3.

  7. Add the capers and mix 10 seconds, left turn, speed 2. (If you don't like finding the caper bits, increase the speed to 4 or 5).

  8. We serve the meatballs with the caper sauce and the potatoes.
