Nut sauce for pasta

nut-sauce-for-pasta

I have used this walnut sauce as a condiment for a fresh pasta but it can even be served with traditional white rice. It stands out for its mild flavor and for being suitable for diets Vegetarian and even vegan, as long as we use eggless pasta.

Like the cake the other day, today's recipe is suitable for all those who need to control their cholesterol. It only contains unsaturated fats (also called good fats), which are those that help lower blood cholesterol levels.

How much sauce does it come out?
It can be frozen to make servings

    1.    Ascen Jimenez said

      Hello Pilar,
It gives you about 300g of pasta (for 4 people approximately). I have not tried to freeze it ... I can't tell you if defrosting it will restore its original texture. It will be a matter of taking the test 😉

The idea is not a bad idea, but the taste of soy greatly extinguishes the flavor of nuts and pine nuts, my guest left more than half a plate. Maybe with normal milk it would enhance the flavor more

    1.    Ascen Jimenez said

      Hi Sergio,
It may be that, as you say, with normal milk the flavor is enhanced. We will have to try it 😉
      Thanks for your comment.

Hello, the amounts that you put in ingredients do not match with those that you put in the preparation. Eg. Put 30 gr pine nuts and 100gr below and of milk add 500gr and 300 below. What are the correct amounts?

    1.    Ascen Jimenez said

      Hello, Martha,
Both in the ingredients and in the preparation I think that the same amounts appear. What happens is that, for example, we incorporate the 500 g of milk in two batches: first 300 g and then 200. The same happens with the pine nuts: of the 30 g we need for the recipe, 20 g are crushed at the beginning and the We use another 10 g whole, for decoration. Everything is explained in the section Preparation.
      I hope I've helped.
      A hug!

    Hey.
This sauce is delicious, I do not add pine nuts because we do not like them very much, but I add a few strips of chicken breast and the truth is that the dish is complete.
Just a question, can the pasta be cooked at the same time as we heat the sauce?

    1.    Ascen Jimenez said

      Hi Alfonso,
It's good you like it! And great that you customize it according to your preferences.
About cooking the pasta ... you have two options:
      - Cook it separately, in a saucepan. If it is fresh pasta you will have it ready in 2-4 minutes after the water starts to boil
      - Cook it in Thermomix. But in this case it would be once you have made the sauce, reserving it in a bowl.
I prefer it in the saucepan because, by calculating times, I gain minutes in the kitchen and also everything is just right.

I am not a vegetarian and I think that if I let the sauce thicken more I could use it to top some steaks. Would it look good? .What do you think?
