This apple roasted in papillote will become a easy dessert that you can enjoy both in summer and winter.

Best of all, apples are in our market in any season so you just need a little imagination to adapt it to your menu.

En summer you can serve it with a ball of your favorite ice cream and in winter a little bit of Homemade granola. Two very rich options to enjoy in a simple way.

Ingredients

  • 4 golden or royal gala apples
  • 4 tablespoons (coffee size) ground cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons (brown size) agave syrup

Preparation

  1. We peel the apples and cut them into not too thin segments.

  2. Cut 4 large pieces of parchment or aluminum foil, one for each apple.

  3. On a piece of paper, we place the segments slightly knurled or mounted one on top of the other.

  4. We water with a tablespoon of agave syrup and sprinkle a tablespoon of ground cinnamon on top.

  5. We close the package ensuring that it is well sealed and repeat the procedure with the rest of the apples.

  6. We place the papillotes in the varoma and also on the varoma tray. We close making sure that the lid fits well.

  7. -If we are not cooking anything in the glass:

    We put 500 g of water and heat it for 5 minutes, 120º, speed 1, with the beaker.

    After time, we place the varoma in its place and program 20 minutes, varoma temperature, speed 2.

    At the end of the time, we already have our apple papillotes ready.

  8. -If in the glass if we are cooking:

Notes

Pay attention when you open the varoma and always do it towards the opposite side to you to avoid that the steam burns you.

The normal thing is to serve an apple per person but it is true that it depends a little on the size of the fruit and also on if served alone or with accompaniment.

The apples that I like the most for this recipe are golden or the royal gala but if you are a fan of sour apples like Granny Smith you can also use it.

Feel free to sprinkle the apple chunks with a dash of lemon if you find that they are getting ugly. You know what the lemon helps them not to rust and take a dark color.

I love the taste of apple with cinnamon although this recipe also goes great with vanilla and even pumpkin pie spice mix.

El agave syrup can be substituted for the same amount of brown sugar. And if you see that the apples are very sweet, you can do without the sweeteners.

As I mentioned at the beginning, this is a dessert for any time of the year, so feel free to serve it warm or at room temperature.
