Leek salmon spirals

Today, more than a recipe itself, I wanted to share with you an idea on how to prepare salmon in a different and original way. Many times we fall into the routine when preparing some dishes, and simply changing the presentation a little or adding a touch of a new ingredient, it can seem a most interesting dish as is the case with these spirals of salmon with mustard on a bed of leeks.

Salmon has many ways to prepare it, such as Salmon Burgers o salmon papillote with vegetables. But in this case we are going to surprise our guests by giving it a unique touch of mustard., that you will hardly appreciate, but that will make it different, and in addition, we are going to present the typical spiral-shaped salmon slices. At home they were a success.

A different way of presenting salmon: salmon spirals, with a touch of mustard, on a tender bed of leeks. Ideal as a main course.

Ingredients

  • Strips of fresh salmon without bones and without skin about 1 finger thick.
  • 4 tablespoons of mustard (whichever you like the most)
  • 4 leeks
  • shawl
  • pepper
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • dried dill

Preparation

  1. We roll the salmon strips on themselves to form a tight spiral. We roll them up with twine and tie them so that they do not open during the cooking process. Season the spirals on both sides. Add a tablespoon of mustard and spread well. We sprinkle with dill. We booked.

  2. We clean the leeks and cost in large pieces. We introduce them in the thermomix glass and program 3 seconds, speed 4.

  3. Here we have two options: steam the spirals using the varoma container or in the oven (as I have done).

  4. We preheat the oven to 180º. In a baking tray a drizzle of olive oil, place the leek and the salmon slices on top. We add a drizzle of olive oil. Cook for 15 minutes at 180º.

  5. Place the leek on the varoma tray, add a drizzle of oil and on top the salmon slices with another drizzle of oil. We pour 1 liter of water into the glass and program 20 minutes, varoma temperature, speed 2.

  6. To serve, remove the twine from the spirals, place them on a plate and cover with the leek.
