Strawberries with yogurt and rose-scented coulis

This recipe for strawberries with yogurt and rose-scented coulis is the dessert we have chosen to celebrate Mother's Day. This year, for obvious reasons, we will not be able to celebrate with them physically but we will not allow this special day to be without its celebration.

This recipe is a clear example of how easy it is to "tune" or version a simple dessert like strawberries with yogurt. You just have to add a special coulis and you're good to go.

In addition to being original, this dessert it is done in a moment and it is very easy to plate. So I am sure that we will use it in more than one celebration.

Do you want to know more about this dessert of strawberries with yogurt and rose-scented coulis?

Before continuing I would like you to know that the aroma or rose water is widely used in the countries of North Africa and the Middle East. Not only do they use it to make desserts, they also give a special touch to other recipes such as salads or jams.

So in addition to in gourmet stores, you can also find it in stores or supermarkets where international products are sold.

If you use concentrated rose scentFollow the manufacturer's instructions as these products have a more concentrated flavor and are usually used in lower doses.

Long ago we learned to make coulis with Thermomix and, although it is a preparation that we do not use daily, when we do we love it for its texture and flavor.

The other key ingredient in today's preparation is yogurt. So you can use the one you like the most although if you opt for a Greek yogurt creamy you will notice the difference.

If you are one of those who like to take care of themselves, I recommend that you use a low-fat yogurt and that, of course, is not sweetened.

And if you are on a special diet, you can use the lactose-free version. Today these yogurts are easy to find in any supermarket. So you don't have to worry.

To sweeten the yogurt you can use the sweetener that you usually use either solid or liquid. Although I suggest that you do not use honey because, as it has so much flavor, it will not allow you to appreciate the aromas of the coulis.

This recipe is best assembled just at the time of serving so that the strawberries do not lose their freshness. Although, if you want, you can make the coulis in advance and keep it in the fridge in a closed container.
