Chicken and apple meatballs

I do not know if the same thing will happen in your houses but in mine the meatballs they are very successful. One of these days I will give you the recipe for the most successful ones, which are the ones my mother-in-law makes, they have pine nuts and they are addicted.

But let's focus on those of today, of chicken and apple… How delicious !. As you may have already noticed, I really like to mix the salty flavors of meats with the juicy touch that the fruit brings. They complement each other perfectly and, although it seems something modern, they have already been used these combinations for centuries.

The recipe itself is very simple but a bit laborious, although it depends a bit on the size that we give to the meatballs. Personally, I usually make them medium-sized, neither the snack nor the tennis ball ones, and what size do you give them?

I hope you cheer up and prepare this recipe healthy and original.

    Hello compi de recipes !!

I really like your recipe. I'm a super fan of meatballs, because even if you're busy making them for a while, they spread a lot and freeze phenomenally. So I copy you this recipe that I will put into practice soon. I will freeze them in tuppers so I have food to take to work. Very original, thank you very much !!

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hello Irene!!!

you'll see ... you'll love it !! And you're right, you spend a while entertaining but when you find a tapper with them in the freezer they make you smile and think ... I have it! ; )

      Kisses!!

Hello, I love your page and thanks to you I am getting a lot out of my thermomix. Meatballs are one of my favorite dishes and I want to make this recipe NOW. However, I have a question, should chicken meat be cooked, frozen or raw? Thanks

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hello Eva:

Thank you very much for your comment! We are very encouraged to see that you are there, giving cane to your Thermomix !!

The breast must be raw. When you fry them and then cook them for 10 minutes, the meat will be done.

I hope you tell me how you have been!

      Kisses!!

This morning I got up early and got down to work and in a jiffy I made the meatloaf. I have just finished them, I have made a change, I do not know what it will seem like, to the sauce I have added a carrot, I will tell you the result when today my daughters come from school and try them, since today is the birthday of the small and I want to surprise you. Thank you very much for your recipes, congratulations on the page, continue like this.
    Greetings Nuria

Hello, tomorrow I am going to test your recipe but I would like to know what part of the chicken you have used, because I think the breast will be a little dry, right?

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hello Pepa:

Although it may not seem like it, I have used breast. When it is chopped and mixed with egg and apple it is very juicy!

      will you tell me, okay?

      kisses!

    Hello Mayra:

I congratulate you on your recipe. It turns out that it has completely superseded the meatballs that until yesterday were my daughters' favorites. What an easy and delicious recipe! In addition, I had some leftover broth from the Sunday stew and the sauce was left to soak with bread.
Thanks for your recipes. They always give ideas and make cooking fun.
    Greetings, Maisa

They look great, but there is one thing I don't understand… when they are frozen, does the sauce also freeze or is it just the meatballs and the sauce that is made the same day that you defrost them for consumption?

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hello Laura:

I do it both ways. I usually freeze them with the sauce already made. Afterwards I just have to defrost them, prepare a side and fix it!

      Kisses!!

    Hello Mayra.
This weekend I made the chicken meatloaf and my boy, my father and I have loved them. A very original and healthy idea.
I would like you to give me the recipe for those meatloaf with pine nuts that your mother-in-law makes that you like so much in your house.
    I await your recipe.
How good they were…. There were not even left over to freeze, and we were 3 people.
    A thousand Kisses!

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hello Rita,

I love that there is not one of your meatballs left over !!

For the pine nuts we still have to wait ... I still don't have the recipe perfectly adapted to the Thermomix, but I'm working on it!

      Kisses!!

    Hello Mayra,

I just made the chicken apple meatloaf with a few modifications.
For the sauce I used a chicken broth that I had and I added ground garlic and paprika.
I have made it with 1kg of chicken and two apples, so I had to finish it in a casserole since the 45 meatloafs did not fit in the basket.

The result has been impressive. I recommend that you try them.

    A greeting.

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

OMG… 45 meatballs !! You will have frozen some, right?

I'll copy the changes for the next one, okay?

By the way, thank you very much for sharing them with us !!

      Kisses!

I just made the meatballs. They look good. But the sauce comes out very liquid, can it be? Thanks for your recipes

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hello rosa:

If you want to thicken the sauce, you can add a little cornstarch or remove the meatballs and prolong the cooking of the sauce for a couple of minutes.

      Regards,

I made the meatballs yesterday to eat them today, they are delicious and the sauce spectacular. The problem is that they have come out harder and more compact than a stone. Yesterday when I took them out freshly made I already noticed them hard. Any trick so that they are not hard? Is there something wrong to be able to rectify?
Finally tell you that I love your page and your book. All recipes are a sure success.

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hi Lucia:

You have left me a little concerned with your comment because these meatballs are very juicy as they are made with apple. The only thing I can think of is that the ingredients have been weighed wrong, so I can only recommend that, when using the scale function, you make sure that the machine is on a smooth surface.

I hope you continue to trust us and if you do not hesitate to leave a comment if you find it hard again, okay?

      Regards!

Little notes in my list of "pending" recipes, but one question ... can it be done in the varoma? And if so, we should make them apart from the sauce, right? I mean, we can't make them while the sauce is made because it is very little, they would stay raw. It is that the fried foods make me feel very bad and since I make meatballs in the varoma it is wonderful and how juicy they are! ????

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hello Patri:

Indeed, they cannot be done at the same time because they will be raw. But you can take advantage of when you make some cream or other preparation to make them. You should put them in the Varoma for 20-25 minutes. Then you will prepare the sauce and in a few minutes you have the dish ready.

I recommend that you cook the meatballs and sauce together for a few minutes.

      Regards!

Sure is true! That option had not occurred to me! Thank you so much????

  21.   Nagore said

Thank you for the recipe! My TMX is working and tomorrow we will try them, my little one will save it and tomorrow they will be part of his menu; by the way I have skipped the white wine step because we do not consume alcohol and do not use it or cook it, I hope the sauce remains rich the same!

    regards

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hello Nagore,

I hope you liked the meatballs. The truth is that they are very soft and delicious.

By the way, the wine is optional. If you put it, nothing would happen because the alcohol evaporates with the heat but if you decide to do without it, the recipe is also delicious!

      Regards!!
