Spelled bagels with pineapple and ham

Who says the masses are difficult? Surely it is someone who does not have a Thermomix® because our machine the masses come out perfect!!

Today's recipe may have been seen in many magazines or books. Although surely more than one, including me, has thrown us back to cook the dough before baking. Well, I have good news ... they are super easy to make and the result is a bun, with a hole, very tender and appetizing.

Among the good things about bagels, it stands out that the dough, once cooked and before baking, can be freeze. I, the doughs, do not usually leave them more than 3 months in the freezer. Then to reuse them we will only have to defrost them, put the filling, bake and ready to eat! Surely this way they will get us out of trouble!

They are ideal for birthday parties, children and adults. And, in addition, we can fill them with whatever we want. Today I have used ham and pineapple although there are infinite combinations.

What is bicarbonate water for? To cook the dough?

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hello Ana:

Yes, baking soda is where you have to cook the bagels. You will already know that you have bicarbonate in supermarkets or if not in the corner pharmacy!

      Kisses!!

Hello, from what I have read the spelled flour, I suppose it will be in herbal stores, right? But I also have the doubt of the dehydrated broth.

      Hello Maria Jose:
Yes, at the moment, spelled or spelled flour is only available in health food stores and health food stores. It is a rare flour although in Asturias it is well known.
The dehydrated broth is worth it to be meat, although the one in the recipe is made from vegetables ... and if you don't have it, you can always substitute it for Avecrem or similar.
This last option is the one I like the least so if you haven't tried it yet, I strongly encourage you to prepare a good pot of dehydrated broth with the Thermomix. There are many recipes, both for meat and vegetable broth, ... you'll see that change !!
      Kisses!!

Hello Mayra and welcome. 2 doubts, can pressed yeast be exchanged for another type? If not, where do you buy? And how to make dehydrated broth? a greeting and see you between recipes

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hi, Tony:

Pressed yeast is found in the cold zone, along with butters, in many supermarkets… Carrefour, Mercadona, Consum… it is very cheap and gives the dough the perfect volume.

I think that before the recipe for the Bagels I should have put the one for the dehydrated broth !! I make it with the recipe for La Cuchara Caprichosa… it's so easy and so useful that before I run out I'm already planning to make more!

      Kisses!!

Hello, I live in Ecuador and I would like you to give me an idea of what spelled is, I have some Spanish cookbooks with rich spelled breads but it doesn't have that name there, if you can please guide me. Thank you

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hi carmen:

I only know two names; spelled and spelled. I have been browsing the internet and what I have found leads me to Mexico. There it is also known as spelled and they buy it in a store called The Grenn Corner, it is a kind of herbalist but giant.

In any case, this type of flour is not very commercialized, so you will have to go to bakeries that make special products for celiacs or to health food stores, herbalists ...

Eye! SPELLET CONTAINS GLUTEN, but it is ideal for people who have an intolerance to wheat, without becoming celiac.

I know that I have not helped you much but I hope it helps you.

      kisses!
