Tomato flavored toast

Many times we have bread left over from the day before and we don't know what to do with it. Today I present you a very easy recipe that at home we do a lot to take advantage of bread in these cases.

In this case, in addition, we are going to take advantage of the fried tomato preserve that we have stored or that we already have open in the fridge and that we want to spend.

I like to make this toasted bread when guests come to accompany, for example, Serrano ham or cheese for appetizers. It is an original way of presenting bread.

Toasted bread, garnished with fried tomato and oregano, ideal to accompany Serrano ham or cheese and other sausages in starters.

Ingredients

• bread from the day before
• fried tomato sauce (you can see the recipe here)
• oregano
• olive oil

Preparation

1. We preheat the oven to 180º.

2. We cut the bread into not very thick slices and as uniform as possible.

3. Spread each slice with a little fried tomato, sprinkle with oregano and a drizzle of olive oil.

4. We place the slices on a baking tray and toast some 8 minutes or until golden.

Notes

Once they have cooled, you can store them in a zip-lock plastic bag and they will keep crisp for at least 1 month.
