Finally the day has come…Halloween it's here!! And to celebrate this year we have prepared several delicious recipes; terrifying pizzas and original ghost ice cream.

Witches' brooms are cheese sticks, easy to make and will serve us both to accompany a hot cream or as appetizer. They are crunchy and have a delicious salty taste thanks to the Marmite glaze.

For those who do not know him, Marmite It is a paste made with yeast extract. Its appearance is sticky, dark brown in color and with a very characteristic flavor. It is one of the most popular English products and totally suitable for vegans.

Delicious cheese sticks shaped like a witches broom. They can be used as a Halloween appetizer or to accompany a hot soup.

Ingredients

  • 175 g flour
  • 90g cold butter
  • 90 g of grated cheese
  • 40g milk
  • 15 g Marmite
  • Poppy seeds

Preparation

  1. Put the flour and butter cut into cubes in the Thermomix glass. Program 20 seconds, speed 3 1/2 to form as a few crumbs. Add the cheese and milk, mix for 30 seconds at 3 1/2 speed. Put the dough on the counter, form a ball, wrap in transparent paper and leave to rest in the fridge for 15 minutes.

  2. Preheat the oven to 200º. Roll out the dough into a 1 cm thick rectangle. Cut strips about 10 cm long and 1/2 cm wide. Carefully transfer the strips to the trays lined with parchment paper or similar. Make several cuts at one end (like a brush).

  3. Mix the Marmite with 1 tablespoon of hot water, brush the brooms with this mixture and sprinkle the poppy seeds on top.

  4. Bake for 10-15 minutes until crisp and golden. Remove from trays when completely cool.
