Ingredients
- 400g cheese spread at room temperature
- 200 cheddar cheese
- 5 thin slices of Serrano ham
- Oregano
- Pepper
- The stem or tail of a pepper
Preparation
We start the recipe by making a crispy Serrano ham in the microwave. To do this, put kitchen paper on a large plate, place the slices on top, making sure they don't overlap each other too much, and cover with more kitchen paper.
We cook them in the microwave for 4 or 5 minutes at maximum temperature until they are crispy. It is important to watch during the process to prevent it from burning.
At the same time, we put the cheddar cheese in the glass and chop it into 3 batches of 3 seconds, speed 10 so that the cheese does not heat up and forms a large ball. The ideal between batch and batch is to lower the pieces towards the blades so that we have a uniform chopped.
Remove all the cheddar cheese.
When we have the crispy ham ready, we chop it for 5 seconds, speed 8. We check that we do not have any large pieces left without chopping.
Next we add to the glass, only 50 g of the cheddar cheese, the spreadable cheese and some spice to taste such as oregano, pepper, etc. And we mix it for 30 seconds, speed 3.
Remove the dough to a bowl and let it cool in the fridge for a few minutes.
Meanwhile, we can wash the glass and the lid so that it doesn't get in the way in the kitchen. We can even pick up the robot because for this recipe we are not going to use it anymore.
On a clean surface, we spread two large pieces of transparent film and place them in the shape of a cross.
On the other hand, we put the remaining cheddar cheese, about 150 g, in a plate or a bowl.
We take the dough out of the fridge and, with our hands, make a ball that we will coat with the cheddar cheese. We have to have the whole ball well coated to avoid seeing the white dough.
When we have it ready, we put the ball in the center of the cross that we have made with the transparent film and wrap it well.
With kitchen string, we tie it around 4 times to make the vertical marks of the pumpkin.
Let it rest in the fridge for at least 4 hours, although it is best to leave it overnight.
At the time of serving, we unwrap the false pumpkin, place the stalk or tail of the pepper on it and serve it with crispy cookies.
