This year I have proposed to live a Traditional Easter, So I've been testing for several weeks to find the perfect gluten-free french toast bread. And it is that celiacs also have the right to enjoy these recipes so ours.
I have to admit that it is a bit special bread because it has longer kneading and resting time than wheat but the wait is well worth it.
With this recipe you will have 2 beautiful breads of about 500 grams. Have a very rich smell and the crumb is quite open. Thus, when we soak the slices in milk they will be juicy.
This bread for gluten-free torrijas can also be used to prepare rich toast for breakfast. They are delicious freshly made with homemade jam.
More information - Raspberry and chia jam
Of course!! ?
Can it be made with plain flour? Or change the procedure?
Here you have a recipe with normal flour but remember that it is not suitable for celiacs.

Hello. What brand do you use the flour from? Greetings, they have a pint
Hello Eva:
We published this recipe a long time ago and, at that time, it was using Hacendado's gluten-free breadmaker.
I imagine it will come out with any brand.
Regards!
And you can get your chickpea flour at our store!
Thanks Lola, they must be great
Hello, this Easter in which we have to stay at home, because I want to make my torrijas gluten-free. I have already made the bread and it has come out delicious
If I make the torrijas with this bread that already has sugar, milk, eggs ... Does the recipe for torrijas vary at all?
Hello Maribel:
The bread is independent from the rest of the torrijas preparation. You will have to soak it in the same way with milk and sugar and coat them like the traditional ones.
Anyway I leave you here a recipe made with that bread for gluten-free torrijas. You can see how it is done and I hope it inspires you.

Can this bread be frozen?
Hi Yoana:
The truth is that I have never frozen it but I think it can be frozen like any bread and sponge cake.
