Greek risotto

Seriously that Risotto more surprising. I assure you that I did not imagine that something so simple could be so delicious and so easy to prepare. This rice has few ingredients, very basic, but very tasty, such as cheese made. And, the creamy texture that the Greek yogurt… Mmm it's a delicacy. Do you dare to try it?

For those of you who don't know him, the cheese made It is a typical cheese from countries such as Greece, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, etc. made from cheese curd and later preserved in brine, hence its intense flavor with a salty and acid touch. It combines perfectly in salads of tomato, cucumber and black olives. It's delicious. Today we can buy it at a very affordable price in any cheese shop or supermarket. In fact, they sell it in rectangular portions and vacuum packed or already made squares ready to take in salads, with its own juice to favor conservation.

The only downside of risottos is that we must take them immediately, since as time goes by they become more "pasty" and from one day to the next they do not work well. However, it is well worth preparing this type of rice with the Thermomix, because the result is unbeatable. I recommend that you also try the four cheese risotto or risotto with prawns and cider, ideal for this Christmas.

    Oh by the way, I bought your book on Amazon Thermorecetas and I have to tell you that I love it!! It is one of the best I have from Thermomix, I have made several recipes and so far they are all spectacular (chicken meatballs with apple... cod cream etc... wonderful!!

      Hi Marta, you can use any type of round rice. For example, in this case I have used SOS, but if you have special risottos it will be great too.

    Terrific. Congratulations!! We made it at home using Danone Greek yogurt and a ribeiro, which I don't know if it was the most appropriate choice and I'm almost sure it wasn't, but what are you going to do, one is Galician and the goat pulls to the mountain hahaha. What wine would you recommend?

      Hi Rubén, thank you for your comment. Why do you think the ribeiro was not a good choice? I use a different one each time, depending on what I have at home. For this recipe I would recommend using a sweet wine as feta cheese is very acidic. 🙂

    First of all congratulate you on your recipes, I have no fingers on my hands to count the ones I have already made. Some are good for me and others not so much, but I am a novice in the kitchen and the thermomix the truth is that it is a help.
    I'm trying to make this risotto, I'll tell you how it works, but I was seeing in the recipe that you put 2 cloves of garlic in the ingredients and then you don't mention them in the explanation, where they should be included.
