natural petit suisse

The other day on Facebook we recovered the recipe of the strawberry petit suisse and it has been a success again. Among your comments, you asked us how we could make natural petit suisse. Well here is the recipe to make them Home to our liking.

The truth is that making this dessert is very easy, you just have to heat the milk, add the agar agar and then mix with the cream, the spread cheese and the sugar. In less than 10 minutes we will have the dessert made for the whole family.

In this way we will have a soft and light natural petit suiss, with a soft texture so that they are not stuffy. Although if you like them thicker you just have to add a little more agar.

If you are not used to working with agar agar you can use powdered or sheet gelatin. As I was saying, the texture of this natural petit suiss is soft, so with 2 grams of agar agar, 9 of powdered gelatin or 6 sheets is enough. Use the gelling agent you use, add it when the milk is hot. The basic difference is that with the agar agar the cream will begin to solidify even if it is hot. With the gelatin you will have to wait for them to cool.

    What is agar?

    1.    Thermomix recipes said

It is a gelling agent of marine origin and is suitable for vegans. It is a very fine white powder, it has no smell or taste. You can find it in herbalists.

Can it be replaced by something else?

      It's in the introduction 🙂

I love the recipe, but I have a problem and it is that I cannot drink any type of milk, I can only drink almond and rice drinks.
So I would like if you could advise me or give me a recipe that I can make with that type of drink.
I have tried to do it only with agar agar and it does not thicken enough.
    Thank you very much.

      Hello:
You have to remember that the use of cream is also important to help curdle. There are vegetables without cow's milk.
The amount of agar to pay can be increased but remember that the texture is light, if you go over it it will look like panna cotta ... It wouldn't be bad but it is much denser.

60 gr sugar, plus vanilla paste with more sugar. To think twice. Natural, natural to burst the pancreas. No, thanks.

Hello: think that the 60 grams are distributed among the 9 units. In addition, the vanilla paste is a tip.
Remember that if you have a better recipe you can share it with us… thank you !! 🙂

Hello, do you think that the cream could be substituted for a yogurt of any flavor?
Thank you so much for the recipe!!

Hello Marta: I have never tried with yogurt. I am sorry!
