Hazelnut and anise milk

Hazelnut and anise milk is very easy to make at home and will serve us for prepare different breakfasts or snacks and full of aroma.

This milk or vegetable drink is very useful for temper the body, especially these days when it's so cold outside.

It can be taken alone but also can be used to prepare delicious recipes like  chai or coffee lattes, gruel o chia puddings or to take with big wave.

Hazelnut milk, like other milks or vegetable drinks, it's super simple to do at home. And, although they do not last as long as commercial milks, you make sure that they do not contain preservatives, artificial colors, or unnecessary substances.

Remember that with the okara or pulp of vegetable milk you can prepare rich recipes such as cookies o Muffins.

Something important you have to know is that there are 2 types of anise: green anise and star anise. Its properties are different and this recipe can be made with either of the two.

El green anise it is good, mainly, to relieve stomach problems. It helps you soothe tummy aches, poor digestion, bloating, and even menstrual cramps.

El star anise, it will help you fight fungal infections, bacterial infections, flu and also strengthen the immune system.

This recipe you can sweeten with what you like the most or with what you have at home. Ideally, use a sweetener that is as healthy as possible. I have opted for the date paste that, since I discovered it, I always have it at home.

You can also use coconut sugar or maple syrup which will give the milk a slightly toasted hue. Or also birch sugar or xylitol if you want it to have a true white color.

La stevia or stevia It could also be used although, personally, I don't like to heat it because it tastes weird. But if you use stevia to sweeten your recipes, don't stop using it to make this homemade drink.

Se keep in the fridge for about 4 days. Of course, you will have to shake it well before using it since a layer of sediment tends to form at the bottom of the bottle.
