Turnip cream

All the creams and purees are a staple in my house. They get me out of a lot of trouble because they can be made from countless ingredients and to prove it today I bring you a very special turnip cream.

If soft creams bore you, it is time for you to evolve and try this cream with more body and a more adult flavor. With it you will discover that the slightly bitter notes of turnip greens combine perfectly with the rest of the ingredients, much softer.

Color is also important and its intense green hue is indicative that it is full of vitamins, minerals, and fiber.

Creams and purees are one of those preparations cheap, fast and easy and that, in many cases, can also serve as a recipe for use.

As I said before, this recipe is loaded with good nutrients. It is rich in fiber although also vitamin A and C.

In addition, helps you fight anemia also providing B9, necessary for the renewal of red blood cells.

You will find turnip greens in the market during the colder months. So take the opportunity to enjoy with the season products.

But you can make this cream at any time since they sell turnip greens cooked and packed, that is, they are ready to use in this cream or in other recipes.

This cream is adapted for a vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free diet. And it is very easy to modify it to your liking with these small changes:

La cashew butter You can substitute it for any other made with the dried fruit that you like the most. Even for peanut butter.

You can also substitute butter for 3 small cheeses from «El Caserío» or a similar brand.

You can use the vegetable drink that you like the most. That of rice is lighter and of almonds is creamier and a few more calories.

Of course you can substitute the vegetable drink for normal milk or by any of its variations.

Remember the variations What you do can affect the final result and that it is not suitable for intolerant and special diets.

This kind of cream holds perfectly for 5 days in a tightly closed container in the fridge.

A trick to organize yourself better

Like almost everyone, I usually take advantage of the weekend to organize menus and cook. So during the week I am more relaxed and focus more on other activities.
